BBC did an excellent treatment of this true story re MI5 looking to hire a science chief. Very tongue-in-cheek and funny, but also really interesting that MI5 is heading in a tech-oriented direction to confront emerging threats to national security. According to Pew’s annual report:

Newspaper ad revenues have fallen 23% in the last two years. Some papers are in bankruptcy, and others have lost three-quarters of their value….Nearly one out of every five journalists working for newspapers in 2001 is now gone….
